Padua Guided Tour Program- November 10th, 2026

Meeting point: Central fountain (Isola Memmia).
Logistics: Distribution of audio headsets to all participants.
We will begin with a short walk from Prato della Valle to the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
Basilica of Saint Anthony – Interior Visit
Inside the Basilica, we will admire the Ark of the Saint and its beautiful chapels, exploring the artistic and spiritual heritage of one of Padua’s most important landmarks.
We will then continue on foot toward the historic city center.
Palazzo Bo
Entrance to the internal courtyards of the historic headquarters of the University of Padua (founded in 1222). We will admire the evocative Ancient Courtyard and its remarkable heraldic coats of arms.
City Center Walk
Stroll through Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, separated by the majestic Palazzo della Ragione, the historic heart of the city’s commercial and civic life.
End of the Tour
The tour will conclude in front of the historic Caffè Pedrocchi, famously known as the “Café without doors.”
Return Information
For those wishing to return to the starting point (Prato della Valle), simply walk along Via VIII Febbraio, then continue straight along Via Roma and Via Umberto I. The walk is straightforward and takes approximately 15 minutes.

Full-day excursion
9:00 AM – Departure by bus from Padua
Meeting point: Prato della Valle
10:00 AM – Arrival at Tronchetto and transfer to Piazzale Roma by People Mover
Meeting with the guides and start of the guided tour from Piazzale Roma.
Walking tour through the Dorsoduro district, passing through the Tolentini area, Campo Santa Margherita, and the Accademia area.
We will cross the Accademia Bridge and continue into the San Marco district, walking through Campo Santo Stefano, Campo Sant’Anfelo, Campo Manin, and Campo San Luca to reach the Rialto Bridge. From Rialto, we will proceed directly to Saint Mark’s area.
End of the guided tour: Piazza San Marco, with an explanation of the main monuments.
12:30 PM – Cicchetti tasting in a typical Venetian bacaro
Free time.
5:00 PM – Departure from Tronchetto by private bus
6:00 PM – Arrival in Padua at Prato della Valle
